Mary Burmeister

In the late 1940’s a Japanese American, Mary Burmeister went to Japan to visit her parents’ homeland.  While there she became a devoted student of Master Murai.  When it was time for her return to the United States, her teacher requested that she bring the art of Jin Shin Jyutsu to the States.  Upon her return she continued her study and research of how energy moves through the body to create harmony and balance, a state of wellbeing.​

JIN SHIN JYUTSU

is closely related to acupuncture in theory, although gentle touch is used rather than needles. In Jin Shin Jyutsu the practitioner’s hands are used as “jumper cables” between two “safety energy locks” (SEL) to revitalize the body’s run down energy system.  


The hands are gently placed on SELs, releasing the blocked energy pathways, thus easing tension, pain, and stress which caused the dis-ease.  Stress such as injuries, emotional and natural tensions, digestive disorders, genetic and surgery all contribute to having energy blockages which when left unattended can ultimately create serious illnesses at the emotional, mental and physical level.  

Jin Shin Jyutsu is first and foremost a self-care tool supported by a certified practitioner.  A session lasts for no more than an hour and will continue to release energy up to eight hours after treatment, healing, balancing and relaxing the body.  Jin Shin Jyutsu can assist in releasing almost any problem, because of the powerful unblocking that occurs as it opens the deeper universal meridians.
